Construit pour servir les debutantes de la ville et l'élite des rassemblements sociaux et des récitals, St. Lawrence Hall était - et continue d'être - reconnu comme un bâtiment du 19ème siècle. Il est vraiment le premier centre social et culturel créé pour les résidents de la ville de de Toronto.

    I LOVED the Museum on the third floor, but wish it were better advertised... I feel like people only stumble across the basement's historic panels by accident and probably fewer people know about the exhibits upstairs! Check it out if you happen to be near the Market!

    The hall was an important venue for African Canadian activities in support of abolition. At the end of a 1851 conference, the final resolution was that Canada was the best destination for refugee African Slaves!
