out in the great outdoors - A Walk to Remember

This picture I took was when a friend of mine and I were walking just outside of our town during the winter. It was taken as the sun was setting and just looking out at the sun and clouds made me proud to see all this beauty. I get inspired when I'm out in nature, see what this big wide world has to offer everyone. The picture was simply beautiful and inspired me because I always love taking pictures of the sky, but this one was different. I felt as ease walking down the road getting to see all the nature around me, listen to the light sounds of crunching snow under my feet and the cool wind rustling through the trees. Just having my friend and I walk down the road catting and taking pictures made me feel at home. They say home is where the heart is, and being born and raised in Canada makes that my home, no matter where I go, no matter how many places I travel, Canada will just always give me a feeling inside; a feeling like no other.

There is so much to do and see at Woodside! I love wandering the inside of the house, and seeing how different life was in the late 1800s, and how far we have come since then. The house has been restored so it's historically accurate, and all of the rooms are decorated as they would have been when William Lyon Mackenzie King lived there. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous too, and it's a beautiful place to wander any time of year!
Woodside National Historic Site is where William Lyon Mackenzie King, the tenth prime minister of Canada, lived as a child. It's located in Kitchener, and as a National Park of Canada, there are some lovely scenic views of trees and plants around the house! Inside, the house is decorated as it might have been when he lived there in the late 1800s.
