Guestbook Lunch at Old Government House
Lt. Governor Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau invited clergy and members of churches in Fredericton who had assisted the Fredericton Shelters to join her for lunch. Her Honour greeted us both graciously and personally and we had a wonderful lunch!
This historic house has all the opulence of the 19th century. The rooms are decorated with period artifacts and give one a taste of what the life of the government officials at the time might have been like. I've only seen a few rooms but would like to go back for a tour.
The outside of the building is equally magnificent and there is a trail along the St. John River which gives one a "back-door" perspective. All-in-all a worthwhile site to visit if you are in the Fredericton area.
