    Shannon has a Bachelors of Paleontology from the University of Alberta and is currently pursuing a Masters of Museum Education from the University of British Columbia. Shannon has a passion for life-long learning, empowering youth, and celebrating and conserving Canada's beautiful wilderness.

    Mary is an avid reader, horseback rider, and budding writer from beautiful British Columbia. She loves being out in nature and is lucky to live in an area with so many gorgeous green spaces. Mary is currently studying at The University of British Columbia.

    Jennifer is finishing her Honours BA in Political Studies at Trent University this year. Having grown up in Ottawa she loves all things politics. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia Jennifer has a strong attachment to Canada’s beautiful waterways and landscapes.

    Amy is middle school teacher in Brampton, Ontario. She had about a million different jobs before teaching, doing everything from sales and telemarketing to working in a pool noodle factory.

    Born and raised in Toronto, Miranda is a Gr. 11 student who spent August of 2013 interning with TakingItGlobal as a Human Resources Assistant. She loves Canada for the acceptance and diversity that brought her parents here years ago.

    Jillian is a 4th year student at the University of Toronto. A childhood immigrant to Canada, she has grown to love this country dearly. Explore150 was a great way to uncover and rediscover Canadian history in places both near and far.

    Michelle is a communications professional and an avid traveller. She decided to join Explore 150 so that she could share some of her favourite places in Canada. As a Canadian she is a steward of Canada, a nation with a rich history and natural beauty, which she believes should be shared with the world.

    Joelle was born and raised in Quebec City. She is currently completing her master's degree in Public Administration and International Management in Gatineau. It is her passion for the world and its cultural, historical, natural and artistic wonders that led her to becoming a Digital Media Blogger for the Explore150.

    Perla is a recent Political Science and Environmental Studies graduate from Memorial University. As a passionate youth environmental writer and advocate based in St. John's, Perla joined the Explore 150 team to share her passion for Newfoundland's natural, historical and cultural heritage.

    Magali is a Montrealer currently living in St. John’s where she is better known as Maggie! She completed a BSc at McGill University and an MA at UQÀM and currently volunteers and works in various museums in St. John’s.

    I am a Newfoundlander through and through and am constantly astounded by the beauty of my province. I was attracted to join Explore150 as a way to share a few corners of my home with those across the country and abroad. The diversity of our people and our landscapes makes it the ideal place to live and experience.

    Prince Edward Island

    Joelle MacPhee is an entrepreneur from Prince Edward Island. After business school, Joelle started Ooka Island, a literacy company, which has since launched internationally and was featured on CBC’s The Dragons’ Den. Joelle is also an active volunteer with the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Junior Achievement.

    Jeremy Keats is a first year university student who recently moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick. Jeremy decided to become involved with Explore150 because of his interest in exploring all the exciting things that exist around him. More importantly, he wants to share that with others who don’t know what’s in their own backyards!

    Jennifer Dickey is in eleventh grade at Sir John A. MacDonald High School. She has a passion for history and exploring and loves to share her knowledge with others. Jennifer is not the only one in her family interested in history, it is more of a family affair, as one of her distant grandfathers was a father of confederation, R.B. Dickey.

    Julia loves exploring the world around her and rediscovering her surroundings by geocaching. Born and raised in Nova Scotia she has travelled around the world and has had the chance to see and discover see great things and phenomenal places.
